Berth Anchorage

Bilge keel yachts up to a length of 10m are welcome to berth alongside the harbour wall in the vicinity of the Aquarium as far into the harbour as possible to leave room for the working fishing boats. Advance contact with the HM will assist both harbour staff and the visitor to ensure ease of berthing. As stated, the harbour dries to a level sand/mud bottom and yachts remain upright at LW. Fin/long keel yachts can also dry out against the wall if required.

Outside visitors buoys are provided during the summer and are reasonably comfortable except in E winds. Boats drawing more than 1.8m may wish to anchor further off to ensure deep enough water in a swell and LWS.
