Bodmin - County Assize Courts
Visit the County Assize Courts then move onto Bodmin Gaol, built in 1778 it was the first prison to have individual cells, and was the scene of 55 executions mostly in public. It was the site of the last public execution in Britain in 1909. Bodmin was the only Cornish town to be mentioned in the Doomsday book of 1086 and the Doomsday book was housed in Bodmin Gaol during the First World War, as were the Crown Jewels.

Tate Gallery – St Ives
Tate St Ives opened in June 1993 and offers a unique introduction to international modern and contemporary art in the unique cultural context of St Ives. Many works can be viewed in the surroundings and atmosphere which inspired them. The Gallery also manages the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden, which gives a remarkable insight into the work of this great twentieth-century sculptor.

Truro Cathedral
A building of Gothic proportions, of three beautiful spires and elegant outline, it sits in the middle of the picturesque Georgian city of Truro. Highlights include the wonderful stained glass, the world’s biggest stained glass project ever completed, the three rose windows, breathtaking views to the High Altar, John Miller’s much admired painting, Cornubia, Land of the Saints, the very unusual Church within a Church.
