The World comes to Falmouth....again and again!

Falmouth welcomed the Residents of the Sea ship The World to the Port for three days during Falmouth’s annual Fal River Festival in June. This is the second time she has come to Falmouth the first being in 2004 and she is also booked to return again in July 2013. This year the Falmouth Port Cruise Ambassador’s were asked to go onboard to provide passengers with information and advice on what not to miss during their stay in the Cornish town.

The Ambassador’s reported excellent feedback from the residents on the area, the welcome they received and the services that were provided by the Port, including a complimentary shuttle bus to take them to the Town.

A&P Port Operations Manager Mike Reynolds said "It’s a great honour to welcome the World back to Falmouth. She generated great interest in the Town last time she was here and this time it has been just as popular and we really try to make the residents feel at home in the Port."
