South Devon is looking forward to launching the first ever festival dedicated to all things crab this summer in a range of events that are sure to become annual favourites for the area.

What better way to celebrate one of the UK’s most delicious and sustainable seafood than with one of Devon’s best street parties on the banks of the River Dart in Dartmouth (Sunday 7 August).

This climax of the festival will be a crabby twist on the traditional UK street party, which will be launched by renowned, UK seafood chef Mitch Tonks who says that South Devon Crab is the best in the world and that a street party in Dartmouth is a fitting way to celebrate it; “South Devon crab is absolutely delicious, and it is an unsung hero of the culinary seafood world.
