Abbey Garden Tresco

A visit to Scilly isn’t complete without a look at the world famous Tresco Abbey Garden on the island of Tresco. The gardens present one of the finest international collections of sub-tropical plants in the UK and are often referred to as ‘Kew with the roof off’ They are also home to ‘Valhalla’– a shipwreck figurehead museum where visitors can see carved figureheads, cannons and lighthouse relics from across the islands. Island Rover Bus Tour, St. Mary’s

Take a scenic bus tour around St. Mary’s – and make the most of the time you have on Scilly. Each tour stops at selected viewpoints and includes an informative and humorous commentary by Glynne Lucas or Fred Elms, Scilly’s longest serving drivers/guides with 50 years’ experience between them. The tours point out sites of interest including Harold Wilson’s house, Old Town and Star Castle. You will also see some of the locations of Scilly’s past ship building industry as well as the Bishop Rock lighthouse, Britain’s most South Westerly light. Island Sea Safaris from St Mary’s
